As much as I love Tool, i do think, at times that Maynard can be *ahem* a bit of a Tool... then again i once heard the guy praising Peter Gabriel's Passion album, which I thoroughly never expected...

It's pretty hard to say any of their stuff is weak, because none of it actually is... there is definite progression from album to album but each record offers strong material of a different nature...
