Oh, I ran into the progress bug with quiet tonight. So my save data has been corrupted until they put out that patch. Kinda sucks, but whatever, I'd rather wait for a patch than restart 50-60 hours...

Breaking the curse involves fighting skeletron, pretty tough using basic equipment, but doable. Breaking the curse allows access to the "castle" (it's really the dungeon I was talking about earlier)....

If I remember correctly, he's found underground after a goblin invasion happens. Not sure if it's in the dungeon that he spawns or not, but I know for a fact the mechanic does spawn in the dungeon....
