Default Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings.

Another modern band that refuses digital instruments and recording processes (Quantic are similar) to have a typical 60's/70's Soul Funk sound. There is nothing stunningly original about their music but it is well done and not a gimmick to sell records or gain kudos.

Apparently they have a number of albums out but I only have their latest release which is more than adequate for me to check out previous works.

Have a vid and enjoy:

I discovered Sharon Jones through the video for "100 Days 100 Nights", for the sake of authenticity they went and bought video equipment from the sixties.

The album of the same name is also awesome.
