Sucky way to end that game. Ponder sucks, and the receivers are just frustrating.

Seems like I remember telling a couple of yall not to anoint Ponder as the next Fran Tarkenton just yet. Luck played a big role in a lot of the success he had early on and I thought that was painfully obvious. Poor Peterson, I really feel for him sometimes..

frazier's finally admitting he might bench christian ponder.

I agree blooz. I remember the game against san francisco where everyone was pleased with his completion to rudolph in the endzone, but if you look at the replay he throws it into double coverage and gets bailed out by an amazing catch. He also had a.p wide open and never looked.

He never reads more than half the field. The things you wanna see improvement in-footwork, decision making, pocket presence have seemingly regressed as the season has gone on. Not saying he can't have another good day, especially with harvin coming back, but it's already apparent he's never going to be great.

Yeah I think you start trying to aquire ya a QB if your the Vikings, its just a shame they never could with Peterson having the kind of year he is. In a QB driven league and analyst's all mentioning Brady and Peyton for MVP, I think you have to go with A.P. I mean the ridiculous stats and numbers he is putting up after coming back from the surgery he had is unheard of. I dont think its fair to give it to someone just cause their team ends up winning the super bowl. What he has overcome is far more impressive to me than any numbers Brady or Manning or any other QB could ever hope to put up this year imo.

yeah, im really hoping he can break his own record this season. He's doing it all with 10 guys lined up too, with each defense only gameplan being stop A.P. Nobody else on the vikings offense do you have to gameplan for except AP and he still beats you.

It'd be pretty cool to see him hit 2,000 yards. He's currently on pace for 1,928 yards. It'll be really tough with that schedule, but it's never a good idea to bet against AP.

Funny/sad stat of the day:

Ponder's yards per attempt on the season: 6.0
Peterson's yards per carry on the season: 6.2

so, I think Ponder should start, but Webb should be ready to go immediately. I would like to see him and Peterson running the option. Add Harvin into the mix, could be worth a try. It's desperation time, really.

Or at least get Webb involved in some plays. I still think he should start, but there's no way the Vikes don't at least let Ponder finish the season. We need a versatile threat to keep defenses humble since Harvin went down.

We can't pass anyways, might as well get a QB in there that can at least do something right.
