Maybe I shouldn't have said "most" but I know for a fact that This Will Destroy You said in an interview that they aren't exactly fans of instrumental music. The reason they're instrumental is because (according to them) none of them can sing and also because when they play it doesn't sound like anything is missing. I've seen/read interviews with other instrumentalists who also say that they don't listen to the type of music they play- Greg Howe for example.
