I agree completely, Burning Down! "Major Tom" is one of my favorite songs, not just from the 80's but from all time.

Today I was listening to Electric Light Orchestra's "Do Ya" Lyrics because I heard it on Iowa radio yesterday, since they play the song often on the station we have on at work. I realized I had no idea who sings it so I decided to find out.

I like this video of their performance from 1977 because they claim to be using the first laser show ever on TV. The lyrics of the song are interesting because I see them as a mixture of imagination and reality. I never really listened to them closely before today:

"I've seen babies dancing in the midnight sun
And I've seen dreams that come from the heavenly sky above.
I've seen old men crying at their own gravesides
and I've seen pigs all sitting watching picture slides
but I never seen nothing like you."

I've always liked the sound of the song with its delicious electric guitar and...cellos.
