I actually found a great avant-folk artist named Mister Salmon. He has only released one album which is called Mister Salmon ...in Yorkshirama (2010). It took around ten years to complete, and uses well-written lyrics combined with many different instruments (both acoustic and electronic). It really is an interesting album, but the only problem is it can only be listened to on last.fm (there isn't a mediafire for it).
