1. Slayer

My favorite out of the mix. You just can't beat the Kerry King's chaotic guitar solos, Jeff Hanneman's excellent rhythm, Dave Lombardo's thunderous yet technical drumming, and Tom Araya's shouted lyrics and great bass plucking. In my opinion Seasons in the Abyss is their greatest album because it has a lot of variety unlike Reign in Blood where most of the riffs sound the same.

2. Metallica

They're a close second. The only reason they are #2 is because (and I know people hate this term) they sold out. My two favorite albums by them are a tie; Ride the Lightning and Master of Puppets. Both fantastic albums and a fantastic band.

3. Megadeth

Still really great. I love the album Rust in Peace. Great guitar work and decent vocals.

4. Anthrax

To be honest, I don't know much about this band, and I haven't heard much of them. But what I have heard of them was not fantastic.
