I seriously love Megadeth and Anthrax. Seriously, both bands changed the way I view music. Megadeh showed me that being incredibly pissed off could be a good thing, and Antrax showed me that metal could be very geeky and funny. Love these bands.
Metallica I also seriously enjoy, and they introduced me to all heavy music with their Black Album. And I seriously couldn't care less if they "sold out," I enjoy Some of their lighter fare as well. But I have played the hell out of them, and have gotten somewhat sick of hearing them. I'll still listen to them every once in awhile on purpose, but most of my Metallica listing nowadays is relegated to when my brother plays them.
Slayer, I honestly don't listen to a lot of. They're good, but I find the fake satanic imagery redicilous.
