It's not merely dislike, but an actual feeling of being uncomfortable or agitated. The scenery in this video is a good example of stuff I just hate (the tunnel is alright, I'm more referring to the desert town):
I don't know where it comes from. I tend not to listen to music as something stand alone, but more as a piece of experience; something to pair with an image and feeling.
Any song that I listen to evokes some kind of imagery, and some kind of feeling. The feeling isn't something simple like happiness or sadness, but more or less a feeling that is specifically tied to the imagery. If I don't like it, then I just can't like it. I never feel like I'm missing out on anything because it isn't merely based on preference, it's just how I think.
