This is kind of like my experience. Until high school I was always one of the tallest kids in my grade. I also had a deep voice and facial hair before most of the other guys and was--I'm sure this won't surprise anyone here--a major wiseass. By the time high school rolled around I was more average height than tall compared to other people but I think I was kind of entrenched in people's minds as someone they didn't want to mess with so I never had any problems with being bullied or anything.
