Long story short: dj, be careful when you just dump your medication like that, doctors generally know best and if you don't want to talk to one about how the drugs weren't working, at least tell a friend you trust that you're not on meds so that they can tell you if you start acting oddly: as I'm sure you know, one of the major problems with the condition is that your actions never seem crazy to yourself (which led to huge problems with my cousin, he never wanted to take his drugs, to the point where he had to be tied down and injected with them at one point, which was a pretty harrowing experience (he's doing better now)).

Technically with my condition, I wouldn't have any friends that I trusted at all especially with this information or that I don't take meds but I'm fine seriously. The worst outcome of me not taking my meds is going into deep depression but I don't even think that's related to me not taking my meds because I have always taken my meds sporadically. I told my dr. straight up that I refuse to take anymore meds and I told her what would happen if she prescribed them to me. I would just go to the pharmacy, pick them up , get home and flush them. Waste of tax payer dollars imo. I don't view medication like it's some special cure-all that can help.
I do just fine without medication. You guys interact with me socially on a daily basis and you'd never know I had a condition if I didn't speak up and say something.
