The "pop week" thread reminded me of the following song that I also haven't heard in a while: "Total Eclipse of the Heart," by Bonnie Tyler from Wales.

I didn't remember how odd the video is until I just watched it again! I think the video detracts somewhat from the song, which doesn't make me think of back-springing, near-naked dancers and eye-glowing, alien-like people. Still, I feel it is a good heartbreak song of longing because I'm never quite sure if it is a heartbreak song or a song of love. Maybe it is both:
