I don't really listen to, that often, what could be considered as pure punk, or punk-rock, but I looove when I hear this minimal punk aesthetic, DIY and 'I don't five a ****' attitude in other music. When everything becomes possible, rules are there to be broken...well, you get post-punk actually. That's when a real musical adventure begins. So, punk, although limited musically, was very liberating mentally. That is its most important legacy, imo.

I agree. I think that punk music doesn't get the recognition it deserves. I'm not a huge punk fan, but the more I listen to it I realize how awesome it really is. So many things come from punk that we don't really think about.
