Ohmigod totally, I'm a Canadian Valley Girl in my 40's... how pathetic am I. Guess I never thought of it that way!
I would have to say my all time favourite artists include Queen, The Beatles, Doors, Cranberries, Chet Baker, and I'm really happy about Duran Duran's new album! I never considered myself a valley girl, but I was certainly a Duranie in the 80's. Big time. And still love them.
I like most genres of music except rap/hip hop and when I was recently in southern CA for a medical procedure my caregiver kept the radio on KIIS FM which has a playlist of 5 songs (Rhianna, Britney Spears, Lady Gaga, Cee Lo, Chris Brown) and I wanted to kill myself. So I guess I'm not a big fan of that stuff in large doses.
