I havent lost hope in mainstream music, because I dont hold a high expectation of it in the first place. I expect alot of it to be relatively easy to digest, and to act as a gateway to the genre that they represent. All of us here, no matter what music we like, at some point would have been into the mainstream music. Its from there we develop a taste and then delve deeper into the genre we most enjoy.
