Hell, imagine you're younger, 18, and you're living in one of the numerous US States with the legal age being 16. Imagine the same thing happens, or you're at a party or something, and the girl is 16, and she's just from another State, but one you don't know the age of consent for. Are you gonna stop and ask her what the age of consent in her state is?

At the end of the day, the girl is the one with the responsibility to tell you that she isn't over the age of consent in her state, you cannot be expected to know those laws, and you've gotta be kidding me if you think it's the responsibility of the other person to question the younger about the age of consent in their home country/state before having drunked sex at a party. That'd probably be one of the single greatest turn-offs of all time.

No, I probably wouldn't ask but if she wanted to get me in trouble she could and they would side with her in court because US court system is screwed up like that. I would be branded a registered sex offender and all kinds of other bull****.
