Canned Heat was a terrific blues boogie band combining passages of psych and some southern rock. Boogie With Canned Heat is thier best IMO. Both Bob "The Bear" Hite and Alan Wilson were big record collectors with Hite supposedly having a collection of over 15,000 albums. The album Future Blues featured Harvey Mandel on guitar who had a solo career prior to joining the band and continued after with some great solo material as well, especially Baby Batter(1970) which was the blues and jazz fused with a touch of psych. Highly recommended.
