Yeah. First slasher is pretty vague ya know. Can go all the way back to at least the 30's and find something that could be considered an early slasher.

Bay of Blood (probably better known as "Twitch of the Death Nerve") was an early example. But as I say, I think historians say Black Christmas was the first to be a combo of all the elements used in future slashers. Slasher's have a specific formula they follow to be considered more "true" and it all came together with Black Christmas. However, debate will always exsist on which would be first I believe.

Many films also did take elements from Bay of Blood... Friday the 13th part 2 specifically, which basically ripped off a few scenes from Bay of Blood.
