1. Connect iPod to your PC
2. Open up iTunes to show your music library.
3. Go to Edit. Under Edit, click Preferences.
4. There's a bunch of tabs at the top (General, iPod, Audio, etc.) Go to the one that says iPod.
5. Under Music, click "Manually Manage songs and playlists".
This way you don't have to keep all your crap on your computer.
