She would probably like it if you did it now. You can even work it into the whole approach. "I was going to wait until after finals...but I can't..."

I've found with 90% of the girls I've dated they want to be CHASED. The hard to get thing is completely real. Ask her out...she might say maybe...she might even say no. If you really like her and you get one of those responses, ask her again a few days later. My rule is 3 strikes you are out. If a girl denies me 3 times, then either she really doesn't want to date me or she ****ed up big time.
