I basically agree. I've listened to it over a few different times and there are a lot of interesting moments in it. Definitely not a sound that you hear a lot of other places. It's all written in a very contemporary orchestral way that I think comes into the progression of the album.
A few tracks that are my favourites include That's When the Audience Died, Please Please Please, and The Chronicles of Sarnia. There's one part of Please Please Please that reminds me of The Beach Boys, who I don't like, but I still like that part of the song and think it's cool.
