I avoided them for a long time too, because of songs like "You Really Got Me" and "All Day & All Of The Night" which aren't bad but never did anything for me. Then a few years ago I checked out
Village Green and
Arthur - been hooked since! I still haven't heard many of their albums though, nothing after early 70s.
