Of all the new-wave groups of that era, the change in direction by Blondie was bold if somewhat poorly advised and kind of led to their downfall. The group weren`t talented enough to incorporate the rap, reggae and jazz influences that they were trying to do, a group like the Talking Head could have done it so much better.

Rapture was a great song as was T-Birds from the same album.
