1.) It really varies. Sometimes, I can listen to an album and immediately know that I dig it after one listen. Sometimes, I might put the album aside and listen to it later to see if it grows on me. Sometimes, I'll give the album more than two tries. Usually if it's not grown on me after four or five listens, I'll definitely decide it's not for me. I really don't expend that much effort, though, if I really don't like it at all after a listen or two.
2.) I really don't know. I've never really felt "ripped off" by an album, I guess?
3.) This varies so much from album to album that I couldn't even answer this properly.
