as was..

"Double Nickels on the Dime" by The Minutemen

"Blonde on Blonde" by Bob Dylan
"The Beatle" [The White Album] by The Beatles
MC&tIS was alright, not my favorite album by the Pumpkins (that still goes to "Siamese Dream"). It would still be in my top 5, but it doesn't hold a candle to "Daydream Nation".

Trout Mask Replica by Captain Beefheart,
Kobaïa by Magma,
Disco 3000 by Sun Ra,
Third by Soft Machine, and
Stations of Crass by Crass are all decent double LPs as well. I certainly wouldn't rank
Daydream Nation as the best, though. I love Sonic Youth, but all that album did was make noise rock more accessible -- it's over-hyped (I suppose that is an unpopular opinion all on its own). I prefer
Confusion Is Sex anyways...
Freak Out! is just an okay album, too.
