Well yes it should be common sense but we are talking about a chatroom only a handful of users bother with that isn't an official part of the site.
I can understand exactly why people might think the rules of the forum wouldn't apply there and things could me more loose.
I've been a mod, I know that most bannings are never down to just one thing. I just think having some mods come out & say it was because of that he was banned was a mistake. Just say he was banned for trolling and that from now on the rules in the chatroom are going to be tighter and you would have never had this clusterf
