Prison is a completely different world, society's rules go out the window from the get go. My mother used to be a security guard at a maximum security men's prison when I was young. I was scared every single day when she would go to work that I may never see her again. I know that personally, if there was even the slightest bit of danger posed to her by an inmate, I would want the other guards to but a bullet in his head, but my opinion is obviously skewed as I have a dog in the fight.

i understand you but i can't just feel pity for these criminals. for instance, drug dealing. we see it on media, they taught us at school, everyone knows that drug dealing is illegal, yet, some people just don't listen and carry on with being drug pushers/users/carriers. every bit of information how dealing with these things results to jailtime, yet a lot of them still do it. now when they're caught and sent to jail, they complain of maltreatment, violence against them,etc. etc. why is it so hard for them or some people to comprehend that illegal activities have corresponding punishments and if you're caught with one, deal with it. prison for me, i know, is not like an ordinary place where you only serve time. if someone killed my loved ones, god forbid, i want that killer not just serve time in prison, but serve a pretty hell-sh*t time full of everyday beating, abuse, starving, raping, torturing prison. that will serve them right.
