i dunno, Jackman's portrayal of Wolverine is not faithful to the comics, but i like his version - but it is of course Jackman's Wolverine and not Marvel's Wolverine - i think if they wanted to stay that faithful to the comics, they should have gotten Russell Crowe to play him

Hahha oh God, do not get me started on Catwoman.
I'm happy they chose Hugh Jackman, as he is really good in the character he plays. But he completely re-defines him. I agree with what you say about his Wolverine and Marvel's Wolverine. They are completely different, but HJ plays his version well and makes him very convincing. If I wasn't a fan of the comics beforehand, I'd totally vouch for him being the man, rather than slightly holding the 'he should be short and charming' grudge.
