Frailty (2002)
Directorial debut for actor Bill Paxton about a widower who believes God wants him and his sons to destroy demons masquerading as real people. Very well presented and subtle in the way it does horror. It's not particularly grotesque but it still manages to get across a sense of unease and dread without relying on cheap tricks. It also works well on a psychological level too, leaving you to question if Bill Paxton and his family really can see demons, or whether they're just killing innocent people. If you're into psychological thrillers I would highly recommend this one.
