But I already stated 4 times now I wasn't including R&B.

I'm not an idiot I was around in the 90s and remember there were loads of manufactured American R&B groups. Do you really think I would have claimed the Spice Girls broke the mould if I was talking about those?

British pop & American pop are 2 totally different things. The last female pure British pop act to sell any great number of records worldwide before them was Bananarama almost 14 years earlier.Which was why even the record companies were saying to their managers 'Don't Do This'.
It was almost like girl groups were grunge & boy bands were hair metal.
