This album has become almost a staple in my own collection and I'm pretty familiar with it as a result. It is folksy as well as having good blues and rock influences. There are no notable high or low points track wise as the whole album is solid from front to back. The band tends to make extensive use of harmony, piano, steady drumming, and good bass.
This album didn't really appeal to me on the first couple listens for whatever reason - but after listening to various tracks a handful of times I eventually became quite attached to the whole album. The same goes for Shame, Shame their other album which I can listen to with Fate almost interchangeably.
I rated it excellent because it's an important album for me.
