You have to at least respect how the writers managed to explain why superheros can't ever seem to die, I mean they plugged a hole that had been leaking for so many years in this one, that's admirable at least. Plus it's a cross over series so of course there's going to be a lot of superheroes in it.
As for
Batman: The Long Halloween it's definitely one of the better Batman graphic novels because it puts an emphasis on Batman's detective abilities rather than him just punching people in the face.
