Awful cover and even worse album title (Hammer Of The North) but this is one of those rare albums that doesn't end up sounding like a parody of Heavy Metal or sound like squealing, operatic Power Metal claptrap.
Instead it is a damn solid straight up Metal album that would appeal to fans of Maiden, Dio, later Sabbath, Judas Priest and King Diamond (minus the vocals) etc. Very decent and very 80's
