Well... that was something different. Definitely not Trainspotting 2 but it had its own charm to it. The accents were a lot thicker in this one though, so if you're unfamiliar with the Scottish accent and vernacular then you'll probably have a tough time with this one. I was catching every 7th or 8th word, and some sections were just a mess. If you're an Irvine Welsh fan then you owe it to yourself to give this one a look, but don't expect too much out of it.

Very much true to Welsh's vernacular than Trainspotting but it's a messy film. It perfectly encapsulates the book but I should imagine it would be best seen whilst on the same drugs as many of the characters.
Definitely worth a watch though. The director went on to make Gangster No. 1 and Lucky Number Slevin which are decent films too.
