Bastard, I`m actually working through that list you recommended me and I`m really digging Immolation especially the Dawn of Possession album, the riffing and singing on that is something else! You didn`t recommend Obituary to me and I already knew a couple of their albums, but have been listening to the Cause of Death album and hell.........that album is one of the best metal albums I`ve heard in some time and I can`t believe I`d never heard it before, its an absolute death metal classic and may even be the best death metal album I`ll listen to!

All the stuff I`m listening to, I`m using albums such as Death Leprosy which I still see as the best death metal album of the first phase and Death Symbolic and Morbid Angel Covenant as the perfect yardsticks of death metal and technical death metal to measure everybody else upto.
