Yes his most recent solo stuff is more contemporary R&B/Neo Soul

His past solo albums are considered more alternative hip hop though.

His unique style is what makes him so good to people, the whole singing to 12-13 year old girls thing I don't get. I guess you are basing that off of his radio single and not the album itself. Listen to Lady Killer then see if you still think the same way.
