Submarine
One of the best British films I've seen in ages. I love black comedies, and this works upon a paradoxical brand of twisted innocence. It's very amusing, in a completely understated way. The setting is also great, it seems to all take place in a small village surrounded by mountainous, craggy Welsh countryside and a barren coastline. It all conveys this insular, shadowy atmosphere that, coupled with the sharp dialogue and soundtrack, gives the whole thing this darkly enchanting aesthetic. Really good coming-of-age film, and it's directed by Richard Ayoade, he of IT Crowd fame.
