I don't think you've listened to them very much then.
Dessa isn't terrible, she's just dull. She gets over hyped because of her gender and who she is associated with. Her music is decrepit and lacks novelty or force.
I wouldn't be surprised if she shows up as an "artist to watch" on vh1 or something pretty soon.
