You`ve listened to all this obscure 1960s stuff and never a Bowie album....I don`t believe you

Anyway large chucks of his discography are experimental, but the phase to start with is his early 1970s glam era phase and the three albums that define this are:

Hunky Dory, The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust...., Aladdin Sane.

Or the late 1970s electronica phase (Berlin trilogy)

Low, Heroes, Lodger

If I had to name the 30 greatest albums of all time, both Ziggy Stardust and especially Low would easily make that list
