It's funny, I lived in California twice and never experienced an earthquake until the one I felt yesterday in New Jersey. I was on the third floor of a three story office building and it shook
a lot. After the fact it has become just an interesting experience to me but at the time, when I had no idea how long it would last or how much stronger it would get, it was a little nerve wracking.
