This song starts so well, with the sombre pace matching the lyrics about an empty cafe. Also, the line about the oyster and the shell is particularly clever. He seems to be mainly focused on projecting some sophisticated image of himself. Why else sing in French ? Instead of adding some genuine Parisian colour, Ferry makes it sound like he never got off the tourist bus.
