lame, he shouldn't have edited his post. it was pretty hilarious to me when I first read it but didn't comment on it at the time.

Sure, modern hip hop borrows heavily on soul and R&B samples. I think hip hop would still be able to exist without it though. The origins of hip hop is just having the dj spin a record and having an MC rhyme over it. There are plenty other genres to sample and scratch up to get the acquired sound.


As far as Wiz goes, I listen to him but I know he's nothing spectacular. I just enjoy a few songs from him.
