Default Better late than never....

Hello Music Banter Community!

I registered sometime last year, and have visited the site fairly non-regularally
over the course of that time. I have debated introducing myself for the simple reason that I thought I was fairly knowledgable in music, being able
to come up with a quick answer to "who sang that song?' question or having
what I thought were pretty intelligent conversations within my inner-circle of friends about different groups that we liked over the years, and then I came to this site. I should have known better, if you want a reality check about how much you think you know about something, just check out a site like this and you soon realize that you are pretty lame compered to some of the people who visit and post.

Let's get on with some of the vitals, my name is irrelovoent at this point of my tenure in this community, my age is ....well 40 something and am beginning to feel that as of late. My occupation is pretty mundane and not really worth mentioning, however I do reside in the hometown of new sensation Justin Vernon and if you know where that is, I salute you!

Now something more to do with what this site is all about, my musical tastes.
It is pretty diverse really, and when I say that it has more to do with genre as there is one thing I have learned since coming to this site, I have only seen the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the sheere number of groups within the very genres of music I like. I would have to say my favorite genre is thrash (Slayer, Metallica, Testemant, Toxic Holocaust, Overkill, Warpath, Warbringer, Exodus, and Death Angel just to name a few)
I also like the early '90s Nirvana, Pearl Jam, AIC, STP and Soundgarden.
Of course there is classic rock like Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath and The Doors. I recently have started getting into early Death Metal like Death, Entombed, Obituary and a little of Deicide. I have also been known to pick up a Dr Dre or Eminem cd from time to time, then there is the whole Country world that I swore over the years that I would never listen to but have become a regular country bumkin since meeting my wife 11 years ago. Then lastly there are the guilty pleasures that I am not really comfortable sharing just yet......lol

Anyway, I have rambled on long enough for now and have probablly lost most readers that have started out interested in meeting yet another newbie...so I will come to a close and say that someday I hope to contribute to an acutal thread, that is if I muster up the courage to let my opinion be known. Until then....cheers!
