Problem si that the homophobic crowd ignore what suits them and choose only to answer the cheap and easy questions.
Often their opinions are based on incomplete facts and a few copy-paste answers which they then repeat
ad nauseam in the hope that if they believe it and spout it for long enough, it becomes true. Religious arguments are the worst, as they ignore all but their particular church/sect's readings of the Bible and then parrot what they've learnt without any thought or real attempt to argue their case.
And if it were the case that all it takes is a well-reasoned argument, life would be a lot simpler and there would be no Republicans/religious people etc. I'm currently involved in an argument on another forum, a Catholic forum, about transsexualism and Chaz Bono. The guy I'm arguing with is so brainwashed and parroting answers, it's almost like throwing meringues at a cliff. I've tried to be reasonable but it's hard.
