Not really, out of all metal sub-genres Nu-Metal is one of the least diversified, hence why I think it also gets a lot more hate. Extreme Metal is more varied and has a lot more going on for it. Death Metal, Black Metal, Doom Metal... so much variations and that is why it is easier to appreciate for me, because it spawned many more styles from them, while Nu-Metal never really evolved.
