I see where your coming from and I agree, its only.. I'm not familiar with all the different types of metal sub-genres you've mentioned. There's a lot of metal I might be missing out on, I am sure of that but, there just doesn't seem to be enough time to spare listening to new music. Especially if I'm really not into the genre in the first place.
