Be sure to do your reasearch guys, some people really rip themselves off thinking buying an expensive mic will do the trick. I purchased a condenser mix for only $400 which I have been using for the past year and the vocal quality is amazing, just as good as some studio condensers which cost around $2000, this is mainly because I have stuck to the fundamentals of learning room acoustics. If you can get your head around understanding your room and how sound travels around differen room shapes and size etc, you can record almost anywhere
