I hosted a couchsurfer from Germany and after he left, I found "Tropicana" opened up in my browser. I immediately downloaded the album from which it came and proceeded to loop it for a week! It's definitely more of summery album. They're instrumental indie pop with the perfect amount of electronica weaved in and I hear a lot of hip-hop influences in their later work, too.
Ah, Fleet Foxes. Do I need to say much about this band?
These Swedish sisters' cover of "Tiger Mountain Peasant Song" turned me on to the Fleet Foxes. Combine it with homemade youtube videos they made in the woods and I was sold. I saw them open for Bright Eyes (who I've never really been interested in) a couple of weeks ago and it confirmed my girl crush.
