This made my skin crawl.
I realize that whether it's condoned or not, they will be pedophiles, but condoning it opens up the door for child abuse. No, maybe they aren't going to assault a child themselves, but acceptance of their attraction will support an industry that does; child pornography.
What good can come from encouraging the sexualization of children to adults? Viewing child pornography isn't a victimless crime, would you be encouraging that by encouraging pedophilia?
